Finland @ 100
‘Finland @ 100’ is a choral concert being given by the JCS in the heart of the City of London on 30 November 2017, as part of the international programme of events to celebrate the centenary of Finland’s independence. Taking the theme ‘Together’, it will showcase works from Finland, the wider Baltic region and the UK. Composers featured include Sibelius, Rautavaara and Mäntyjärvi (Finland); Pärt (Estonia); Ešenvalds and Vasks (Latvia); Miškinis and Kairyté (Lithuania); Jackson and Vaughan Williams (Britain).
The JCS will perform on Thursday 30 November at 7.30pm at St Katharine Cree, Leadenhall St, London EC3A 3BP – just a few days before the actual centenary date itself.
