Lux Beata
Lennox Berkeley’s Mass for 5 Voices is the centrepiece in our next concert, featuring sacred choral music from the 20th and 21st centuries by British composers (Alexander Campkin, Cecilia McDowall and John Rutter, as well as Lennox Berkeley) and by those two titans of German/Austrian Romantic music, Brahms and Bruckner.
The programme also includes piano interludes by Brahms and Schubert played by Zoe Dixon and we will be welcoming Olivia Tait as our latest Junior Fellow – Olivia will be conducting Cecilia McDowall’s Deus, qui claro lumine.
We are performing at St Gabriel’s Church, Pimlico on Thursday 4th November at 7pm – full programme details are on our Performances page https://www.jcos.co.uk/performances/
- Our Music Director, Peter Broadbent, will give a pre-performance talk at 6.30pm.
